Cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) with the SHINYEI DewTracer mini is a spectroscopy method that uses optical resonators. An alternative name is cavity ring-down laser absorption spectroscopy (CRLAS). As this alternative name suggests, laser light is typically used for this spectroscopy method.
By applying the CRDS method and reducing the cavity size, a high-speed response was achieved: 50 ppbv ⇔ 1000 ppbv ↑60 sec., ↓61 sec. (90% response time)
Since it is a non-contact measurement, it is possible to handle corrosive gases that could not be measured with conventional measuring devices.
