Important information for the intended use:

The requirements and limit values specified in the "Technical Data" must be strictly adhered to. Any use beyond this is considered to be improper.

The use of the measuring system in potentially explosive atmospheres and the measurement in explosive gas mixtures, in gases with a high concentration of halogens and sulphur-containing gases (e.g. SO2) are not permitted.

During operation, the probe is heated electrically. The probe shall be placed or installed in such a way as to avoid burns caused by the strongly heated front part of the probe.

Measuring principle:

Potentiometric measurement. The measuring system contains a sensor that uses the oxidation ion conductivity of zirconium dioxide ceramics with stabilizing additives. The oxide ionic conductivity of zirconium dioxide increases exponentially with temperature and reaches sufficiently high values above 600 °C. The ceramic oxide ion conductor is used as a gas-tight tube with platinum electrodes inside and outside. The reference electrode is purged with air; it serves as a reference electrode with constant, known electrode potential. The measuring electrode is located in the sample gas stream.
