The Glovebox is used for locally limited work under protective gas. When it comes to shielding materials from environmental influences or protecting the environment from the harmful effects of certain materials, Glovebox is used for both production and research.
The classic case for the use of Glovebox is when substances or products which are sensitive to oxidation are to be treated or processed. This is usually done by creating an argon or nitrogen atmosphere.
In order to ensure that this atmosphere corresponds to the requirements regarding purity, it is necessary to continuously monitor the protective gas regime in the box with respect to its residual impurities of moisture and oxygen.
For the monitoring of gas circuit to the residual moisture of <1ppm the DKS Engineering GmbH has developed a transmitter, that works directly in the gas circuit. It is based on the principle of P2O5-sensors, which are also used in our AQUATRACE®-series devices. Of the available interfaces (RS232, RS485, 4 - 20 mA, 0 - 10 V), the data can be output and integrated into the control system of the glove box (eg from SylaTech), So that always an overview of the conditions running a test or production cycle is present. These interfaces can be configured according to the wishes of the customer.
