with integrated suction pump and optional radio module
Possibly record-breaking
The Polytector III G999 is the world's smallest and lightest 4-7 gas detector with integrated electric suction pump and radio module. Depending on the sensor configuration, the device warns of dangers caused by toxic and flammable gases and vapours and of oxygen deficiency and excess. With individual sensor combinations and extensive accessories, the G999 meets every requirement profile.
Easy to use
The Polytector is ready for operation after switching on. The main functions - peak display, LED lamp, alarm reset, display zoom and display rotate in carrying position are each controlled by a simple push of a button. In the user menu, you can easily navigate with the three buttons to change device settings or read out the data logger.

Man-Down-Alarm
The device has a man-down alarm. The time interval when the alarm is to be triggered can be set individually password-protected for the respective requirement situation. As a result, no time is lost in an emergency to initiate rescue measures.
Live measurement data via radio
The Polytector III can send the current measurement data by radio to the central unit GfG-Link or an operations center. In this way, a head of operations is always informed about the current risk situation of his employees.

GfG-Link
The GfG-Link is the secure link between the devices. Depending on the version, four or ten devices can be connected wirelessly to a GfG link. The user name for quick identification of the device as well as the current measurement data are displayed on the display of the GfG link. The life-saving man-down alarm has a special status in the alarm states of the GfG link. It is amplified by an unmistakable acoustic signal sequence and a flashing red alarm display. The tableau on the front of the GfG link represents all connected devices with current status. The range in the open field is about 700m. Ideally, the safety status of employees can be monitored within a range of 1400m.
Pagerfunktion
The head of operations can send short messages to the displays of the gas detectors via the integrated pager function. He has the choice between free texts on the operational PC or preconfigured standard messages via the GfG link.
Alarm-Simulation
So that your employees are prepared for an emergency, the G999 has a training mode. Via the PC or the GfG-Link, the head of operations can simulate alarms and train his employees realistically for emergencies.
Customized device configuration
The sensor slots can be variably assigned with the following number of sensors:
1x thermal tint (WT)
1x infrared (IR)
1x photoionization (PID)
1x hybrid (WT/HL) up to
4x electrochemical (EC).
The design of the G999 allows for a wide variety of sensor combinations. Thus, the gas detector can be individually adapted to your requirements.
High-End-Sensors
Our high-end sensors are characterized by a very long service life, high measuring accuracy, fast response and low cross-sensitivities. In addition, the devices and sensors are designed to be particularly easy to maintain.
The infrared principle (NDIR) reliably detects CO2 and CH4
With only one IR measuring chamber, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons such as methane and propane can be precisely detected simultaneously in the Polytector III. The sensor uses up to four gas-specific wavelengths. Absorption gaps and wavelengths of the radiation are optimally matched to gases and measuring ranges. Optionally, the infrared sensor can be pressure compensated if larger atmospheric pressure fluctuations are to be expected in the application (e.g. in mining). Damage to the sensor by sensor poisons, e.g. silicone compounds or hydrogen sulfide, can be excluded with IR technology. The IR sensor has the advantage over heat tint sensors that it is not damaged even at high gas concentrations.
PID Photo Ionisation Detector
Volatile organic substances (VOC) such as solvents, gasoline, diesel, heating oil or kerosene vapors are harmful to health even in low ppm or ppb concentrations. The workplace limit value (OEL) for most VOCs is well below the Lower Explosion Limit (LEL) and cannot be detected with thermal tint sensors. The ISOBUTYLENE-calibrated PID sensor can detect many of these substances at concentrations below 1 ppm.
Hybrid sensor/leak detection
In many applications, a simple detection of flammable gases in the range 0-100% LEL is not sufficient. At the same time, the gas detectors must be more powerful and cover more extensive measuring ranges. The Polytector III can be equipped with the high-end GfG hybrid sensor. This sensor can measure flammable gases from 0-10,000ppm, from 0-100% LEL and from 0-100Vol.%. By switching in the device menu, your gas detector can be turned into a powerful leak detector in conjunction with the smart, electric suction pump.
Suction pump
The integrated high-performance pump is activated by closing the diffusion openings. Thus, the measurement results of the sucked in atmosphere are not falsified by gas influences in the immediate vicinity of the device. The suction power is designed for up to 100m distance. The pump allows enormous flexibility in sampling. The safe solution for applications for clearance measurements of confined spaces, tanks, basement shafts or ducts. A filter system protects the pump and sensors from dust and moisture.
Large display with zoom function
The clear graphic display can be rotated by 180° and can be easily read in any wearing position, e.g. if you have attached it to your clothing. Advantage: You have your hands free and all values in view. The zoom function of the display makes it easier to read, e.g. under a breathing mask or without reading glasses.

Alarm
Three alarm limit values for oxygen and flammable gases as well as two instantaneous limit values for toxic gases and two exposure alarms ensure comprehensive protection of the equipment carrier. In addition, the long-term value (LZW) and the short-term value (KZW) are automatically monitored as an average value and the average values are stored. All limit values are individually adjustable under code protection.
Data logger
The integrated data logger records measured gas concentrations and activated alarms up to a period of 500 hours. The stored data can be read out via the test station TS400 or docking station DS400.
Safety meets Design
The Microtector III G999 combines technical innovation with impressive design. Independent expert committees confirm the outstanding performance in design and functionality, with particular emphasis on the small size and the extraordinarily low weight. No other gas measuring and warning device with integrated suction pump has won as many awards as the Polytector III from GfG.
