Functional Description:

The acid filter is designed to remove aerosols from the gas flow, particularly in emission measurement applications. It captures floating liquid droplets within a specially constructed filter matrix. The gas flows from the inside to the outside of the filter body, causing small liquid droplets to coalesce into larger drops. These larger drops then descend due to gravity and collect at the bottom of the glass container. The lifespan of the filter element depends on the solid particle load in the measuring gas.

Assembly Instructions:

• Installation Position: Mount the acid filter vertically before the measuring gas cooler to allow condensate to accumulate in the lower part of the glass container.

• Gas Connections: Follow the arrows indicating gas flow direction.

• Measuring Gas Outlet: Adjust the immersion depth of the Teflon hose as needed.

• Condensate Removal: In cases of significant condensate accumulation, manual disposal is possible using the optional connection or an additional peristaltic pump.
