The CombiSens Analyzer MED-O2 model is suitable for the analysis of medical oxygen in accordance with the guidelines of the European Pharmacopoeia.

 

We combine paramagnetic oxygen (99.99%), coulometric P2O5 moisture and IR CO and CO2 analyzers with a convenient operating concept and measurement data visualization, digital flow meter and memory for up to 6000 limit value alarms in just 6 height units. This makes the CombiSens Analyzer MED-O2 the only standard analyzer for medical oxygen available on the market that fully meets the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia.

The gas analysis system described below is designed for installation in a safe area and under normal air conditions. It provides continuous and simultaneous concentration measurement of the following compounds:

  • Traces of carbon monoxide (CO) 0-50 ppmV
  • Traces of carbon dioxide (CO2) 0-500 ppmV
  • Oxygen (O2) purity 95-100 vol% with paramagnetic pressure compensated oxygen sensor
  • Traces of moisture (H2O) 0-500 ppmV with AQUATRACE® 19" rack 0-500 ppmV

This system contains all the necessary equipment for sampling, conditioning and analysis of the gases listed above. Particularly suitable for quality testing of medical oxygen.

The following measurement methods are used to determine the concentration of each compound:

  • CO ppmV GfX Infrared Gas Analysis
  • CO2 ppmV GfX Infrared Gas Analysis
  • O2 Vol% Pm Paramagnetic Gas Analyzer (With Atmospheric Pressure Compensation)
  • H2O ppmV P2O5 AQUATRACE® trace moisture analyzer 0-500ppmV

The system is used to measure the oxygen quality in a laboratory. After depressurization, the sample gas is transported to the rack with analyzers, where the sample gas is filtered and analyzed. All measurement results from the installed analyzers are available as standardized, isolated analog 4-20 mA signals as well as digital Modbus® communication. The flow through each individual analyzer is visualized by a digital flow meter. Seamless precision tubing and stainless steel compression fittings ensure the highest system integrity to avoid measurement errors due to diffusion effects or leaks. The continuous flushing of the sample lines to the trace moisture analyzer ensures a fast response and precision of the measurement.


The measured concentration and status of each individual analyzer is transmitted digitally via Modbus® to field I/O modules.
