Trust is good. Measuring is better!

Already 2 years ago we were allowed to test our transmitter in large systems of vacuum chamber dryers. At a residual pressure of approx. 5 mbara, the drying process of components up to a residual moisture content of approx. -30 ° C Tp could be continuously monitored.

Completely new requirements are currently being developed when using our P2O5 measuring method for monitoring the drying process of cryopumps.

The special requirement is to integrate the transmitter directly into the helium line. Here, under real production conditions, there is a pressure of up to 25 bara. Under these conditions, the residual moisture should be detected below 25 ppm.

For this purpose, the transmitter was reworked so that it could be integrated into the customer's test apparatus by means of a high-pressure flange with metal seal.

After more than half a year of intensive test measurements under industrial conditions - and in comparison with other measuring instruments and processes - our client (Leybold Dresden GmbH) has achieved results with our AQUATRACE® transmitter, which speak in favor of a permanent use in production.

Leybold GmbH is currently working on integrating the AQUATRACE® High Pressure Transmitter into its quality assurance system for the final inspection of cryopumps.
